Hey, people. As most of you know, I'm going on a world trip. I am trying to finish most of grade 5 math before we go. We are leaving in two days, and this blog is how I'll be doing the rest of grade 5, when we are traveling. Somehow the home-schooling district managed to jam everything into this website. If I don't write on this site, it means I don't have internet access and am writing it down somewhere else and will copy it onto my blog as soon as possible.

Social Studies: Geography
This morning my parents set up a rough draft of our trip, explained it to me, and we poured over maps.
This is where we are going, in the order in which we are going, for how long we are going;
New Zealand- 2 weeks
Australia - 4 weeks
Thailand - 2 weeks
India - 6 weeks
Uganda - 4 weeks
Egypt - 1 week
Turkey - 1 week
Greece - 4 weeks
Croatia - 2 weeks
Slovenia - 2 weeks
Italy - 1 week
Germany - 1 week
France - 2 weeks
England - 2 weeks
Home...

I'm really exited for all of it, but especially Uganda and France.
In Uganda we are going to volunteer at an orphanage for the month we are there. You know how some people's parents, if not your parents, always say "Eat your food and don't be ungrateful. People in Africa are starving.". Well, now I'm going to experience what it's like to be with them, and get a different perspective on it. My mom and dad talked to a guy who had brought his family there a few years ago and he said that it changed his children's life. He also said I would know more english than many of the adults there, let alone the kids. I'll most likely help with teaching english and writing to younger students.
In France we are going to Paris. We are going to have a very, very, very belated birthday there for me. I've always wanted to go to Paris, and now we are! So we're going to go to the Eiffel Tower, go shopping (!), see some art galleries and more fun stuff!!
